Original description
MISCELLANEOUS ORNAMENTS, CHIEFLY BRONZE. Fibula, 3 1/4" long, minus pin, found near Falkirk.Trevor Cowie notes, 11.12.2009: Navicella type brooch, incised decoration on back of hoop consisting of three bands of horozontal lines and oblique incisions. No pin but two coils of the spring survive. L: 80mm; H 40mm, W 20mm; length of foot 30mm. Found near Falkirk 1835.
