Original description

PERSONAL ORNAMENTS, &C. Small fragments, clippings, etc. Norrie's Law, near Largo, Fifeshire. [MoS description] Melting rocks, forging metal. Moving metal, recycling metal. Recycling Roman silver. (11) Chopped up silver, Norrie's Law. 500 - 700 AD. Alice Blackwell 23.07.2015, note: Small hacksilver fragment, originally part of a silver vessel with beaded rim. The fragment comprises two and a half hollow repoussé sub-rectangular beads (now flattened) with narrow plain rim, and a small portion of vessel body. The fragment appears to have been folded lengthways at the junction between the beading and the vessel body, and then folded in half in the other direction, between two beads. There is a possible cut section to one edge at the vessel rim; the other edges are laminated indicating breaks along further folds.
