Original description

PERSONAL ORNAMENTS, &C. Small fragments, clippings, etc. Norrie's Law, near Largo, Fifeshire. [MoS description] Melting rocks, forging metal. Moving metal, recycling metal. Recycling Roman silver. (11) Chopped up silver, Norrie's Law. 500 - 700 AD. Alice Blackwell note, 20.04.2015: Silver bangle terminal, undecorated and broken before transition to bangle body. The terminal is the same form as x.FC 53 and x.FC 44, with parts of two rounded facets that create a sub-circular-shaped terminal surviving, but now lacking the raised border marking the transition to the bangle body. The back of the terminal has a sharp, neat cut (L 10mm) along one edge that appears to be a deliberate clip; a similar cut is found on other bangle terminals: x.FC 53 and x.FC 46. No other convincing cuts are apparent on the broken edges. The surface of the reverse is somewhat crazed. This terminal is of a comparable width (although not thickness) to another (x.FC 46) and might possibly be from the same object.
