Original description

PERSONAL ORNAMENTS, &c. Penannular ring of bronze 1" in diam. with thickened terminals, behind each of which 4 or 5 pairs of cuts form a herring-bone pattern. Presumably a brooch with a pin awanting. From Luffness, East Lothian.
