COLLECTIONS FROM SEPULCHRAL DEPOSITS: Two portions of a tree-coffin, originally about 7ft. in length, found on Dumglow in the Cleish Hills, Kinross. Trevor Cowie notes 25 July 2013: these fragments both have accession numbers marked on them. The larger of the two pieces is an elongated irregularly triangular shape, worked at the broader end and tapering to an uneven break at the other. L:1230mm; max W: 450mm; max Th 150mm. The other piece is an irregular elongated fragment with a plano-convex section. L: 1110mm; max W: 180mm; max Th 50mm.Although no longer an exact fit, the junction between the two pieces is probably original. RCAHMS no NT09NE 4.
