Original description
Beakers; decoration in three zones separated by two plain bands - rim zone comprises three narrow bands of vert incisions separated by three and four horiz incised lines respectively, a further four such lines a band of narrow incised herringbone with three horiz comb-impressed lines below, belly zone comprises three horiz comb-impressed lines above and below narrow band of incised cross-hatching, basal zone has three comb-impressed horiz lines above narrow band of poorly incised cross-hatching with twelve comb-impressed horiz lines below; ware red-buff with small black patches, height 9.5 ins (241 mm); grain impression (barley) at base of rim zone decoration. Found in a short cist at Skateraw, nr Dunbar, East Lothian (NGR NT 729764). Updated from SCRAN full data set, December 1998.
