The inscription is on the flat panels on the front, with a tablet flower at beginning and end. The flat panels on the back are decorated with longitudinal wavy lines and the intervening ridges with oblique lines meeting at the crest, the spaces between them punched with small circles. Both the inscription and the engraved lines are filled with niello.
