Flat circular brooch of silver, 2 1/4" dia. inscribed IHESVS NAZARENVS, REX. Woodhead, Canobie, Dumfriesshire. Caption note, February 1993: Deposited at Canonbie, c. 1298 - 1302.//T. The lettering is crude but legible with the letters s reversed. The pin is flattened oval in section with a rectangular collar decorated with two horizontal grooves.
