Brooch, circular formed of rod of silver, 3 1/8" dia. ornamented with 6 rosettes alternating with 6 knobs, minus pin. Woodhead, Canobie, Dumfriesshire. The ring has six rosettes of four large and four small petals alternating with six tubular knops. The knops are covered with small ring punch marks. The pin is square in section with a prominent round collar and is hinged in the centre of one rosette. The point of the pin would have rested on the opposite rosette.
