Original description
[MP 92 - 99] wooden ball, 7 in. dia., [and 7 pins, each 13 in. long], found in moss in parish of Balmaclellan, Galloway. John Burnett notes 11 January 2008: "They were found under a moss in the parish of Balmaclellan, Galloway, 12 feet under the surface." - Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, 6 (1865): 205.
