Description and Sources
A disclaimed medieval jaw harp from Knocknagael is listed in Inverness Museum Archive files under Acc. No. 2013.025. A Conservation Condition Report describes it as made of copper alloy with its orginal surface straiated (decorated). It measures 53mm by 22mm. It is complete, although appoximately 50% of the surface layer has been lost, especially along the edges/ridges, and there is some cracking of the remaining original surface layer to the inside of the prongs. <1>
