A polished flint axehead was found in c. April 1989 after ploughing of ground for forestry.

There is documentation regarding the axehead Inverness Museum's archive files. The axe is described as made of polished flint in very good condition, found near the Aultnagar Hotel on the A836 to Lairg during forestry planataion work in 1989. The axehead is of probable Yorkshire manufacture which is rare in the North of Scotland. It measures 13cm in length and has a blade width of 4cm and a butt width of 2.5cm. It is listed under Acc. No. 1990.071. <1>
