Canmore site data has been included on the Finds Hub as follows.

Initially Canmore site records with point and polygon map features were imported from the public shapefile downloads.

Additional attributes were supplied in CSV for the ‘Archaeology’ data for Western Isles, Highland, the former region of Grampian (the current councils of Aberdeenshire, Angus and Moray), Shetland and Orkney. The "Archaeology Notes" were added to the previously imported records, nothing that longer entries had been accidentally truncated in the supplied CSV files.

Cross-references with other datasets were also supplied as CSV and imported to the Finds Hub. 

Records not included in the CSV supply were then removed from the Finds Hub, leaving 72,942 Canmore site records.

Update November 2022

New data for the whole of Scotland has been added in November 2022, resulting in there being 305,382 Canmore site records on the Finds Hub.
