Original description

Unidentified ?bone object resembling tip of a bone weaving sword, no locality, Shetland. Unidentified ?bone object resembling tip of a bone weaving sword; smooth dark brown (?peat stained); no locality, Shetland [labelled ‘Shetland / R Glen /1907’ but the reading of the name is uncertain. Trevor Cowie notes, 28 October 2014: this previously unregistered object was allocated an accession no during the Leith Cruiser Store decant October 2014. Formerly with objects from, and therefore presumed to have formed part of, a collection of Shetland artefacts donated by R C Haldane in 1911, much of which came from the locality of Lochend, North Roe, Northmavine. Site: Shetland, Scotland, EUROPE.
