Hoop elliptical in section, D. 22 mm., width 2.5 mm. Terminals bounded by single transverse ribs. Facets shallow and lozenge ill-defined. Positive keying, central boss. The brooch impression is orientated so that the feeder channel must have joined the side of the hoop, which lies perpendicular to the axis of the brooch. Although broken at this point, the shape of the mould suggests another brooch mould lay here originally by comparison with 1031/5. Site 3(81) SF376
