Original description
[MOS Provisional List, Display, II.4.5, October 1997]. [One of] Other Anglo-Saxon, and Frankish, imports: silver ball-headed pin with knurled deco., poss. Saxon. Dunadd. PK note: Provisional 1997 register number allocated to MOS object. Alice Blackwell note, 2009-02-23: The material is tinned iron (not silver); it is also more accurate to describe it as possibly Anglo-Saxon (rather than as Saxon). The published reference (from which these corrections were taken) - A. Lane & E. Campbell 2000 Dunadd: an early Dalriadic capital. Oxford: Oxbow - the page ref is 166-7, catalogue no. 1336; and it is illustrated in illus 4.77.
