NX74NW 17 c. 712 484.
An unfinished Neolithic mace-head, ovoid in shape, with the socket-hole bored only halfway through, which was found at Galtway Hill (NX 712 484) is in Kirkcudbright Museum (Acc No 1776).

This late Neolithic mace-head was found prior to 1948 by J Clark, Cannee (NX 68 50) (Kirkcudbright Museum Acc. register) who could not be located. No further information.
