Original description

Finds from the excavations at Mumrills, near Falkirk, Stirlingshire in 1923-28 (P.S.A.S. LXIII, 503-66). Miscellaneous. Piece of pink concrete floor, from a corner, 11 x 7.5", 2.8" thick. [MoS description] About the house. Building materials. Artificial materials. (9) Fragment of concrete flooring, Mumrills. 80 - 180 AD. [Scran caption] The fragment of a concrete floor was found at the site of the Roman fort of Mumrills in Stirlingshire. It was built sometime between 140 and 165 AD. The coarse, pebbly concrete flooring is pink in colour. It is from the corner of a floor. Date: Between 140 and 165 AD. Material: Cement. Dimensions: Length: 28.0 cm; Width: 19.1 cm.
