Original description

Urquhart Castle. [One of] Collection of relics found during the restoration of the Castle by H.M. Office of Works - see Register for 1923 pp.53-63 and Loan Register 1923. 5-140. PSAS 112, 1982, 465-476. Pin, with pentagonal head in side section with incised x. The front top facet is decorated with four linear incisions. The decoration is identical to a specimen from Perth in the National Museum (FC 139) and Laing's example of a crutch-headed pin from Orkney. SD note, November 1999: Upgraded from PSAS.
