Caption note, February 1993: Part of a stone mould for casting pilgrim's badges found in the old churchyard of St Andrew's, North Berwick, East Lothian. One badge is in the form of a crucifix, the other depicts St Andrew (a cast from it is shown alongside); on the back are moulds for two brooches. 14th century. [Archaeology description] MISCELLANEOUS STONE IMPLEMENTS. Stone mould for casting pilgrims' badges, on one face a matrix in form of St Andrew on his cross. North Berwick.
