Heart Brooch mould. (NGA). Caption note, June 1993: Half of a stone mould for making heart-shaped brooches; from Kirkcowan, Wigtownshire. The gaps in the raised ornament below the shoulders on each side may indicate that the brooch had two pins. [Archaeology description] Moiety of mould of slatestone, for small heart-shaped brooches, from Kirkcowan, Wigtownshire.
