Description and Sources
A piece of Litharge cake is pictured on the Dornoch Historylinks Image Library, No. 7697. It was found at the waterline of the Dornoch Firth below Dun Creich. Litharge cakes were formed during large scale cupellation. This piece has a relatively smooth convex shape with the inner side having a rough cast appearance. This litharge cake is evidence of large scale cupellation. <1>
